About the Role:WINNER Butcher is seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher / Meat Cutter with at least two years of experience to join our team. This position works closely with our Head Butcher and supports all aspects of meat fabrication, case setup, and customer service. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, take pride in their craft, and are excited to grow their skills in whole-animal butchery. About Winner Butcher:We are a neighborhood butcher shop in Brooklyn, NY. We sell fresh cuts, house-made sausages, and prepared items directly to our community, with a focus on quality, transparency, and customer care. As part of the WINNER Hospitality family, we are passionate about great food, thoughtful sourcing, and creating a welcoming environment for both customers and staff. Key Responsibilities: Cut and portion meats for the fresh case and custom orders, including beef, pork, poultry, and lamb Assist in sausage-making, poultry breakdowns, and value-added production (e.g. marinated cuts, skewers) Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work stationSet up, break down, and stock the fresh case and retail items Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making thoughtful product recommendations Support internal culinary orders for other WINNER locations Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation protocols Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in meat cutting or butchery Proficient and safe in the use of knives, saws, grinders, and other butchery tools Solid understanding of meat cuts, preparation methods, and basic cooking techniques Friendly and customer-focused, with a desire to provide excellent service Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player Physically capable of lifting 60+ lbs and standing for extended periods of time Benefits: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunities for training and advancement in whole animal butchery PTO accrual based on company plan Access to company retirement savings plan (Vestwell) Pre-tax commuter benefits 25% employee discount at all WINNER locations (wine at wholesale price for 21+)
